But still the very same safe and supportive space for Island writers of all levels to read their work.

Come celebrate our 26th consecutive monthly Open Mic in collaboration with the The Gallery - Coffee House & Bistro happening Thursday, January 23rd at 7pm.

If you'd like to write to the prompt, this month's inspiration is a very personal one...Do you set a word of intention for a new year? If you do, maybe you'd like to write to it?! No pressure...

I’ll share with you my word for 2025. It’s “intention” (but keep that between us!)

Whether you use our writing prompt or not, we can’t wait to hear what wonderful writing you bring to share at the first Open Mic of 2025.

To get on the reading list, please email openmic@peiwritersguild.com. We also have a couple of spots available for the spontaneous brave souls. We'd like to encourage all ages, levels, and genres of writers to sign up to read for this event, as we’d like to have as diverse of a readers’ list as possible for this growing event.

This event is free and open to all but please keep in mind that priority is given to PEIWG members for getting on the readers list. If you'd like to be one of the readers, please submit by email to OPENMIC@PEIWRITERSGUILD.COM and readers will be notified leading up to the event!
